Our approach is holistic. Because there are numerous factors influencing disparities in health and healthcare among minorities, our Research Core is structured to explore a full range of differences in behavior and lifestyle, access to health care, screening processes and even genetics.
The Research Core is advancing GCHE's mission to reduce and eliminate health disparities through the support of several pilot projects and extensive research and data collection.
While the Research Core projects are coordinated, there is some overlap with research being conducted by our member institutions and other Cores. This overlap strengthens our cause by adding depth to the breadth of our study.
Our Research Core is a unique in that its horizontal nature incorporates investigators from different departments and schools.
