Email This Page

Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT)  and Peripherial Blood Stem Cell Transplant (PBSCT) are used to treat blood cancers, most commonly leukemia and lymphoma. They are most effective when the leukemia or lymphoma is in remission (the signs and symptoms of cancer have disappeared) which may require a companion treatment before a patient becomes a transplant candidate. BMT and PBSCT are also used to treat multiple myeloma.

Refer to information on this website about these specific cancers for more information.
