Cancer is a complex disease, and everyone at Emory Winship Cancer Institute is dedicated to helping people beat it. At Emory Winship we take a multidisciplinary approach to cancer treatment. That means  not one, but many experts that specialize in a specific type of cancer work together to provide the best in cancer care.

We work hard to  provide the best. Every day, experts come together for conferences and discuss patient cases. In fact, last year this happened more than 350 times within Winship. That is almost one per day for every day on the calendar!

Advanced Practice Providers 
Winship's nurse practitioners and physician assistants are an integral part of each multidisciplinary cancer treatment team. Advanced Practice Providers educate patients about important aspects of their care, and are the point of contact to answer any questions that may arise.They track patient progress, monitor the effectiveness of cancer treatments, and supervise the day-to-day management of care throughout the continuum of care from diagnosis to follow up after treatment and survivorship.
