If you would like to make a gift of stock from a brokerage account to Winship Cancer Institute, please contact the Office of the Controller at Emory University to let us know that the gift is in progress.

Stock Held in a Brokerage Account

Winship uses the same brokerage account as Emory University.  Please instruct your broker to transfer the shares electronically to Emory University.  Our brokerage account is with State Street Bank and Trust.

After instructing your broker to make the transfer, please contact the Office of the Controller (contact information above) so that we can match your name with your gift when it arrives.

Your gift date is the date the shares are received in the Emory University account.  Your gift amount is the average of the high and low price on that day.

Matching gift programs are an excellent way to double -- or even triple -- your contribution.  These gifts are a very important source of support for Winship, and we encourage you to apply for a match from your employer.
